So today, I'm going to show you how I made this
Rolling Stones poster, completely out of lyrics.
So, my dad has a record player in his music room.
I was never allowed to use it.
I was never allowed to touch it.
Ever.
I mean, ever.
And yet, one day I asked him to show me how to use it, and he did. I instantly fell in love with it, and I loved going though all his records and playing each one, feeling like I had a connection to my dad when he was growing up.
This is exactly the kind of music he listened to when he was a teen,
and that made me feel a lot closer to him.
One day, I came across an album of the Rolling Stones greatest hits.
It was like love.
My dad says I'm really wearing out this record.
So, I decided I wanted a poster of it in my room!
Let's get started!
Here's what you'll need:
Paper, I used my sketchbook paper
(For the fanciest of occasions lol)
A pencil
And markers!
Here's the picture we'll be working with
First, start off by sketching a light picture of it
Then, find a good red.
Just start filling in...
I used Ruby Tuesday lyrics for the red lips
(Get it? Ruby red... ba- dum- tsk)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a00_tPLcE_g
Work your way around the white bubbles
You could even stretch out a few words if you don't want to
write in the small spaces
(I have small writing, so I only did this once)
Finished with the lips!
Now start on the tongue!
I used Dandelion lyrics for this part
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZXeUzA0mUXw
Now start on the black part.
I used Paint It Black lyrics for this part
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Uj9sduV3k8
Go down the center of the tongue
Erase your pencil lines and your done!
Ta da!
Handmade and everyone's is different!
Maybe I'll do another one soon...
with the Beatles?
Pink Floyd?
xoxoxox
